About Founder
Vicky Nagdev
Vicky Nagdev is a qualified optician with 13 years of experience, holding a Diploma in Optometry from reputed institutes. Since 2014, he has been an active Dispensing Optics faculty, training 400+ students. With hands-on clinical expertise, Vicky has attended to 20,000+ patients for refractive errors, earning a reputation for accuracy, care, and professional excellence
Founded in 1948 by Shri Lalchandji Harnamdas Nagdev after migrating post-independence, the Nagdev family has been serving the optical industry for three generations. What began as L. Harnam Optical in Kurla, Mumbai, grew steadily with the support of his son Shri Suresh Nagdev, who expanded the business with an additional retail outlet in 1984.
Continuing the legacy, Shri Sunny and Shri Vicky Nagdev established new stores in Titwala (2003) and Dombivli (2013), followed by Ashraya Opticals and Contact Lens Clinic in 2012. The family further contributed to the profession by launching a Government-recognized Education Foundation in Dombivli, training over 500 optician students since 2014.
Recent ventures include corporate eye-care consulting for leading organizations such as Thomas Cook, Tech Mahindra, Black & Veatch, and others, along with consulting services for independent optical professionals in India and abroad.
